Great guitar legend Johnny Smith just passed.  I played with Johnny and he had a huge hit with Stan Getz on Moonlight In Vermont totally beautiful and aesthetic.  There has been a lot of beautiful comments about Johnny these last few days and the one time i worked with him at a jazz festival in Colorado where he lived he played Moonlight In Vermont that night.  Here is the opening tune on my Charlie Parker Tribute which ironically is “Moonlight In Vermont” that i would like to also dedicate  to his memory  as his music will live on.
